| 21st February 2010 | Beat 17 Harborough & The Bowdens | A van parked on Abbey Street in Market Harborough was broken into on Monday. The lock was forced and a generator and a bag of clothing was stolen from inside. 4 alloy wheels were stolen from a car parked at an industrial site on the Riverside in Market Harborough overnight on Monday. Beat 17 Harborough & The Bowdens | A burglary to an insecure dwelling on Nelson Street in Market Harborough occurred on Sunday. The thief walked in through an unlocked door and stole a wallet and some CD’s. A burglary to an insecure garage on a building site on Lubenham Hill in Market Harborough occurred overnight on Friday. The thieves stole a whacker plate and a quantity of Velux roof windows waiting to be installed. An attempted burglary to commercial premises occurred over the weekend. | 31st January 2010 | Beat 17 Harborough & The Bowdens | A burglary to a dwelling in Scotland Road in Little Bowden occurred on Saturday. Entry was gained via an open door and a handbag was stolen from inside. A burglary to a dwelling in Russett Close in Market Harborough occurred overnight on Sunday. Entry was gained via an open window but nothing was stolen from inside. An attempted burglary to a dwelling in Worcester Drive in Market Harborough occurred overnight on Friday. A lock was tampered with but no entry was gained. An un-alarmed garage in Tungstone Way in Market Harborough was broken into overnight on Friday. The door was forced and a pedal cycle was stolen from inside. Tools were stolen from an unattended van parked on Symington Way in Market Harborough on Saturday. | 24th January 2010 | Beat 17 Harborough & The Bowdens | A burglary to a dwelling in Rosemoor Close in Market Harborough occurred sometime between the 20th and the 24th of January. Entry was gained by forcing a ground floor window and property was stolen from inside. A burglary to a dwelling on Russett Close in Market Harborough occurred overnight on Sunday. Entry was gained via an open window but it appears that nothing was stolen. A burglary to commercial premises on Rockingham Road in Market Harborough occurred overnight on Monday. An office was entered by forcing the lock and computer equipment was stolen. A cement mixer lorry was also stolen by use of the keys which were left in the office. | 17th January 2010 | Beat 17 Harborough & The Bowdens | A burglary to a commercial premises on Northampton Road in Market Harborough occurred on Monday. A window was forced and cash was stolen from inside. A significant amount of cash was left inside a vehicle parked near Manor Walk on Friday. The vehicle was entered and the cash was stolen. A satnav left on display in a van parked in Angel Street in Market Harborough was stolen on Thursday. Over a thousand pounds worth of tools left in an unattended van parked in Springfield Street in Market Harborough were stolen on Monday. Harborough Police would urge all motorists NEVER to leave high value items in their cars or vans – it makes life much easier for passing opportunist thieves. | 13th December 2009 | Beat 17 Harborough & The Bowdens | A dwelling in Southleigh Grove in Market Harborough was broken into sometime between the 7th and the 11th of December. A window was forced and a search was carried out but nothing appears to have been stolen. An attempt to break into a dwelling in Rookwell Drive in Little Bowden occurred on Thursday. No entry was gained as the thief was disturbed by the householder and fled the scene. A distraction burglary occurred in Saxon Close in Market Harborough on Thursday. 3 males entered the home of an elderly man claiming that the water was about to be turned off. Nothing was stolen on this occasion. A burglary to an un-alarmed dwelling in Logan Street in Market Harborough occurred between the 10th and the 13th of December. | 6th December 2009 | Beat 17 Harborough & The Bowdens | An attempted distraction burglary occurred in Hagley Close in Market Harborough on Wednesday. A male attended the address and stated he was there regarding the boiler. He entered the home, looked at the property and then left. Nothing was stolen. A burglary to a dwelling in Northampton Road in Market Harborough occurred on Monday. Entry was gained via a fire escape and property was stolen from inside. A car parked in the cemetery on Northampton Road in Market Harborough was broken into on Sunday. A window was smashed and a search was carried out but nothing was stolen. A car parked on an industrial estate in Market Harborough overnight on Tuesday was stolen and later found burnt out near Lutterworth. A conservatory door was forced and a significant amount of cash was stolen from inside. A burglary to a dwelling in Jubilee Gardens in Market Harborough occurred sometime between the 21st and the 27th of November. A door was removed and bicycles were stolen from inside. A burglary to a dwelling in Station Road in Great Bowden occurred sometime between the 2oth and the 24th of November. A door was forced but nothing was stolen. Entry was gained by smashing a window and property was stolen from inside. A burglary to a dwelling in Brookfield Road in Market Harborough occurred overnight on Saturday. Beat 17 Harborough & The Bowdens | High value ornaments were stolen in a burglary to a dwelling on Greenacres Caravan site on Leicester Road in Market Harborough on Monday. An attempt to gain entry to a dwelling in Andrew McDonald Close in Market Harborough failed sometime between Friday and Monday. 2 locks were forced but the third lock held thus keeping the thieves outside. A window was forced and entry gained to a dwelling on Station Road in Great Bowden sometime between Wednesday and Friday. It is not known yet whether anything was stolen. An attempt to gain entry to a dwelling on Stuart Road in Market Harborough failed on Thursday. A burglary to a dwelling in Heygate Street in Market Harborough occurred sometime between Wednesday and Friday. A door was forced and a search was carried out but nothing was stolen. A ladder was taken from a neighbour’s garden and used to gain access to an upper window of a dwelling on Manor Road in Great Bowden on Wednesday. The window was forced but entry wasn’t gained. A distraction burglary occurred at a dwelling in Scotland Road in Little Bowden on Wednesday. Entry was gained by telling the elderly occupant that a water valve needed turning off. Nothing was stolen as the occupant didn’t let the intruder out of his sight whilst he was inside the dwelling. Harborough Police would urge all residents not to leave ladders in their gardens.
